In these artworks Janet expresses her individual viewpoint; creating work of subjects that avoid the clichéd and popular to present art that is unique and timeless.
In addition to oils, acrylics, printmaking and illustration media, her passion has been pastel for the last 35 years because of her love for a medium that is pure pigment; pure colour at her fingertips which she renders in a sensuous way creating colourful nuances of light and dark, a medium that she has mastered through her art work and championed through her involvement with art societies, art tutoring, mentoring and exhibiting.
